Education

Industry education and experience is the backboard of your insurance career. KSAIW / NAIW are both an advocate for your professional education. 

Through membership in KSAIW you can access the educational program which NAIW prides itself offering. There are self-study and online exams available.

In addition your membership allows you to enhance your professional standing by obtaining the Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW), Certified Professional Insurance Man (CPIM), and Diversified Advanced Education (DAE).

CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL INSURANCE WOMAN/MAN (CPIW/CPIM) - This designation is available to those members who have met the insurance educational criteria of NAIW. NAIW awards this designation after a member has worked in the insurance industry for five years and has been a member of a local association for three consecutive years.

COMMUNICATE WITH CONFIDENCE (CWC) - A public speaking course with emphasis on prepared and impromptu speaking. Graduates of this program are eligible to participate in local, state, regional and national NAIW speaking competitions.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM - A course designed to examine the art of leadership and to suggest ways a student can develop and enhance leadership skills.

LIFE & ESTATE PLANNING - This program consists of an estate planning section which includes a glossary of terms, reasons for estate planning and sample wills.

HOW TO BE A BEST SELLER - A course to enhance vital business abilities through better organization, time management, decision making and goal setting techniques.

SUCCESSFUL NEGOTIATIONS - Communication techniques to gain information, learn to research, making offers and demands, styles of negotiation and closing tactics.

MENTORS AND PROTÉGÉS - Establishes a formal mentoring program, provides benefits, teaches responsibilities and addresses concerns.

OFFICER TRAINING PROGRAM - Supplement to Leadership Development Program.

RULES OF THE ROAD: HOW TO KEEP CUSTOMERS THROUGH SERVICE - Deals with customer feelings, handling irate customers and provides understanding of the importance of quality customer service.
